Ten WhatsApp groups moderated by long-term Tulum residents. Whoever you are, whenever you arrive, a community is already waiting. You will never stay alone in Tulum.

A small group of long-term La Veleta and Aldea Zama residents kept meeting newcomers wandering around town looking for people to talk to - a cenote-swim buddy, a coworking lunch, a pediatrician recommendation, a dawn walk on the beach. So we started one welcome WhatsApp group and added anyone we met who was new in town.
The plan from here is simple: as the welcome group grows, we split off themed communities as members ask for them. Cenote swimmers want sunrise-run talk. Nomads want co-working meetups. Parents want pediatrician recommendations. One group becomes ten.
Ten WhatsApp communities, each capped around 250 members, each moderated by long-term Tulum residents. When you reach out, a human reads your message, checks which group fits, and adds you. We do not use bots, we do not sell numbers, we do not run ads in the chats.
It is a labor of love, paid for by the occasional restaurant that sponsors a members-only dinner and by members who buy us coffee when they can. That is it.
A small founding team across La Veleta, Aldea Zama, Zona Hotelera and Akumal. We are not a business. We do not have an office. We meet for dinner every few weeks at rotating spots in Centro to keep sane.
